FC Basel must have had dreams about taking a win at the Santiago Bernabeu last night but unfortunately those dreams have been crushed as Bale scores a great goal from a Luka Modric assist. Straight after, Real triple the lead thanks to a Ronaldo goal.

GOAL and RED CARD- Benfica 0-2 Zenit St Petersburg

Lots of action is going on in Portugal but not good news for the hosts as goalkeeper Artur Lopes is sent off. From the resulting red card, Zenit pounced and scored to make it 2-0 thanks to Axel Witsel netting from a Danny assist.

Real Madrid have a star-studded line-up but the man who scored for Madrid was actually Basel's Marias Suchy as the defender scores the own goal unluckily.

GOAL- Olympiakos 1-0 Atletico Madrid

Olympiakos have shown why there are such a massive threat in their palace in Greece by taking the lead against Spanish champions Atletico Madrid. The goal was scored by Arthur Masuaku.

GOAL- Benfica 0-1 Zenit St Petersburg

The first goal in this years Champions League is scored by the Brazilian talisman Hulk for Zenit St Petersburg against Benfica in Portugal after six minutes. A classy and composed finish opened the scoring after Shatov threaded the pacey winger through on goal.
